Friends of the Chapel Updates - 09/13/26

There still need to be painting done of the last, most water damaged section of the north chapel wall.The assumption is that we’re waiting to make sure the leak has been rectified.

We hope to see work beginning on replacing the old building’s roof soon. Thanks to Evertrue for allocating funding over and above the Laclede Groves budget to accomplish this. We need to be praying for safety for the roofers.

The committee responsible for the “Friends of the Chapel Music” concert series has scheduled two exceptional concerts for this fall. Mark Ruff and accomplished organist, will be presenting an All Hallow’s Eve organ concert on Halloween, Saturday, October 31, at 2pm in the chapel. On Sunday, November 22 at 3pm, world-renowned pianist, Thomas Pandolfi, will give a classical concert in-the-round in the chapel. thomaspandolfi-pianist.com

The stained glass window restoration campaign has currently collected $52,000. There are also two major contributions pending that could help us to be very close to our goal. If you would like to become a part of this important campaign, contact Gina Timme. Gina.Timme@evertrueliving.org.

We are publishing a book titled, “The Chapel at Laclede Groves,” to help raise funds for the window restoration campaign. Thanks to the underwriting of the book by Evertrue, all of the proceeds of the book sales will go to the window fund. The book is 120 pages, full-color, and hard-bound showing our windows and mosaics and describing the lives of the saints represented. The book will sell for $35, all benefiting the chapel and will be available soon.

Finally, many are asking how to become a Friend of the Chapel. If you are asking this question, you are already a Friend of the Chapel. Be an ambassador. Learn about the chapel. Tell other people about the chapel. Become a concert sponsor. Buy the book. Donate to the window fund.
